INTRODUCTION TO A COMPANY OF RESULTS & INNOVATION

PlanetPR is a complete resource for media, management and events

Founder Matt Rich has been a widely known and well-respected member of New York's media community for 20 years. The company, founded by Rich and his late partner, PR genius Harvey Mann, is continued today as PlanetPR. We represent and have worked with a wide variety of clients including The Russian Federation's Ministry of Culture, the Donald Trump/NBC partnership which owns the Miss Universe Organization, SWATCH USA, United Nations Association (USA), Mikimoto, and three New York Times best-selling authors. As well as Victoria Gotti, novelist, broadcast journalist for FOX television, editor-at-large for STAR Magazine, and star of A&E's reality series "Growing up Gotti."

Special Event Management is also a mainstay in PlanetPR's wide-ranging client base. Among our happy collaborations have been the 200th Anniversary of The New York Stock Exchange, President Mikhail Gorbachev's 70th birthday celebration (to benefit Global Green), VOGUE's 100th Anniversary Gala at the New York Public Library and the Municipal Arts Society's Centenary Gala hosted by the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

PlanetPR has spearheaded special campaigns and promoted the Oscar nominated feature-length documentary "Al Hirschfeld, The Line King" (1999) and the critically acclaimed film "The Mission" (1986, staring Robert DeNiro, winner of Golden Globe for Best Original Score and an Oscar for Cinematography). Our office also coordinated the benefit premiers for these and many other motion pictures. Rich was the publicist for and served the marketing needs of Orion Pictures & former owner John Kluge. Mr. Kluge trusted PlanetPR to plan and produce his daughter Samantha's wedding--America's most extravagant private event. PlanetPR has created ad programs for DuPont and worked with Michel Roux, the mastermind behind the Absolut label. PlanetPR enjoys a reputation as an innovator and generalist. Nowhere is that more true than his work promoting motion pictures.

At various times we have been the representative-of-record for artists and actors like Tommy Tune, Judy Collins, Stephen Baldwin and designers Mary McFadden and Randolph Duke, known as "Mr. Red Carpet" for repeatedly dressing Oscar winners. These relationships have also led the PlanetPR to shepherding successful licensing agreements for these clients. PlanetPR has overseen campaigns for the Martha Graham Dance Company and has promoted the photographer Francesco Scavullo's legendary career the last ten years of his life.

Under the auspices of The Russian Federation's Ministry of Culture PlanetPR produced, “Russian Nights”: a weeklong cultural exchange between the United States and Russia.  It was comprised of cinema, music, theater, poetry and other lively arts in various venues in the five boroughs.  The festival was the first Russian cultural exchange after the dismantling of the former Soviet Union.
